FORT WORTH - Gary John Fenoglio, 58, a dear and loving person, entered into the arms of our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, May 17, 2006. Throughout his long illness, he continued to be courageous, happy and an inspiration to others.
Mass of Christian Burial: 11 a.m. Monday at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, the Rev. James E. Hart celebrant. A rosary to celebrate his life will be recited at 3 p.m. Sunday at the church.
Memorials: His memory may be honored with a gift to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105; or a charity of choice.
Gary was born June 23, 1947, in Fort Worth, where he lived his life. He was involved in an accident at 21 and left a quadriplegic. He persevered and went on to operate as a tax preparer for 28 years until he became too ill to work.
Gary was a devout Catholic who loved God and his faith dearly. He loved being with people, his family and life, always thinking of others and willing to help if he could. He and his sense of humor will truly be missed.
The family wants to thank all of Gary's doctors, nurses and medical personnel for their help and compassion, with special thanks to Father Hart and Dr. Kevin Connelly who stuck by Gary though his hardest years.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, John and Alma Fenoglio; and his sister, Charlotte Flanary.
Survivors: His sister, Wanda Felton and her husband, Mark; brother-in-law, Jack Flanary; nieces, Sheryl Wasson and her husband, William, and Lisa Phillips and her husband, Tom; great-nephews, Hunter and Tyler Phillips; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
