FORT WORTH - John W. Corbin, a retired printer and pressman, died Sunday at a Fort Worth hospital. He was 82. Mass will be at 10 a.m. today at Holy Family Catholic Church, where he was a member. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Mount Olivet Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Corbin was born May 24, 1909 in Waco. He was a 1927 graduate of Waco High School and attended Texas A&M University. He was a circus performer for a brief period in the late 1920s and served in the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1933. John had lived in Fort Worth since 1943. He was an employee of Stafford-Lowden for 30 years and retired in 1975. John was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the University of Oklahoma Touchdown Club. He was a past member and former officer of International Typographers and Pressmen's Union Local 47. Survivors: Wife of 56 years, Albina Corbin of Fort Worth; three sons, Richard T. Corbin of Waco, Paul Corbin of Burleson and John J. Corbin of Dallas; daughter, Mildred Rita Junkins of Fort Worth; sister, Isabell Camp of Waco; and four grandchildren. |
